A young child was airlifted to hospital after being found unconscious in Wicklow.
Rescue services were on their way to an incident of a man with an injured lower leg on Tuesday when they were flagged down en route in Knockananna. The child, aged 4, has fallen unconscious and needed immediate medical attention.
A separate response vehicle was also diverted to Knockananna following the discovery. Rescue chopper Air Corp 112 was called to the scene following which the child was transported to definitive care.
