Report: Raiders DE Tyree Wilson could practice in the next few weeks

We are still waiting for the debut of first-round pick Tyree Wilson for the Las Vegas Raiders. The No. 7 pick from the 2023 NFL Draft has yet to practice with the team after dealing with an off-season foot injury that has caused him to miss every practice to date.

However, it shouldn’t be too much longer before Wilson is back on the field. In a recent article by Albert Breer of SI.com, he wrote about some of his top nuggets from training camp. One of which was that Wilson should return to the field in the next few weeks:

I’d expect to see first-round pick Tyree Wilson return to the practice field at some point over the next two weeks. Wilson is recovering from offseason foot surgery after suffering a pretty serious injury at the end of his time at Texas Tech. You can sense the excitement here over what Wilson will be able to bring to the table when he gets healthy.

The Raiders have their first preseason game next Sunday, but Wilson will miss that game. But the Raiders are hopeful that he will get in a few weeks of practice before Week 1. However, the exact date when Wilson will get on the field has yet to be determined.

It appears we are still a little bit away from seeing Wilson practice with Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones, but his time is coming soon. It’s clear that the Raiders are being extra cautious here as they want Wilson to be 100 percent healthy for the regular season. Patience, Raiders fans. Patience.
