The rocky 11-month marriage between Chase Claypool and the Chicago Bears could soon be coming to an end, as the disgruntled receiver is reportedly on his way out of the Windy City.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Chicago seeks a fifth or sixth-round pick for Claypool’s services. Those services haven’t done much for the Bears, who haven’t won since he joined the team. In 10 games, he’s logged 18 receptions on 43 targets to 191 yards and one touchdown.
Sources: The #Bears are looking to trade WR Chase Claypool, asking for a 5th-or-6th round pick in return.
GM Ryan Poles has been actively calling teams he believes are in the market for a receiver.

On Friday, Claypool called Chicago out saying they weren’t using him correctly. If it was simply a matter of scheming to make better use of Claypool, the Bears would surely adhere given his exchange rate. Instead, they told him to stay home and benched him in advance of their loss to the Denver Broncos.
Schultz got his report on Matt Canada wrong, but this one seems to be more realistic given the circumstances.
