The NFL announced their regular-season schedule just a couple of weeks ago, as the Miami Dolphins found out the dates and times of their matchups for the 2023 season.
Miami also had their preseason opponents announced that night, but the dates and times for those games weren’t reported until the team announced them last week.
On Monday, NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe had some more news relating to the preseason, as he reported that the Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons will conduct joint practices prior to their preseason matchup on August 11.
According to Wolfe, the practices will be held August 8-9 at Miami’s Baptist Health Training Complex and will be open to fans.
The #Dolphins will host the #Falcons for joint practices Tuesday August 8th & Wednesday August 9th ahead of their Aug.11 preseason game in Miami Gardens, sources tell me.

Joint practices are a great opportunity for teams to get a look at their roster in a controlled environment against another team. They’ll be able to dictate the matchups and tempo, whereas a game brings some uncontrollable elements from a coaching perspective.
While this is the only set of joint practices announced at the moment, it wouldn’t be too surprising to find out more are coming before the games against the Houston Texans (August 19) or Jacksonville Jaguars (August 26).
