The Boston Celtics may have long ago moved on from any potential pursuit of Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant, or they may be weighing the astronomical asks of the Nets organization against the not-insignificant risk of injury, decline or disgruntlement baked into any Durant tenure.
At present, there are most definitely leaks regarding the disgruntled Brooklyn swingman’s trade demands, and the Nets’ responses to them that have roped in a number of Eastern Conference teams, including the Celtics. But a small tidbit thrown into a recent article by NBC Sports’ Kurt Helin almost as an afterthought suggests that if Boston is indeed involved in talks with Brooklyn on KD Timelord is not on the table.
Per Helin’s sources, Celtics center Robert Williams III is not available.

Is this a backchannel hard limit in a trade discussion between the two teams? Could it be an agent trying to help shape the career of the former Texas A&M standout? Something else entirely?
