The Boston Celtics are reportedly “exploring the combined outgoing value of Danilo Gallinari and Payton Pritchard … as the Celtics search for center reinforcements” according to new reporting from Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer. The Celtics have been rumored to be active on the trade market ahead of the 2023 NBA trade deadline, and a general consensus has been that depth help in the frontcourt and on the wing is what the team is looking to add.
“Two names of big men that match that outgoing salary: Jakob Poeltl and Mo Bamba,” added Fischer, the former tied to Boston in trade talks for some time now and the latter via speculation.
While it seems probable that Boston will make some sort of move involving its frontcourt, the Celtics under team president Brad Stevens have tended to move in silence.
