South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn, a co-chair of the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, recently revealed that he has not had direct communication with President Joe Biden following his debate performance six days ago. Despite this, Clyburn has maintained contact with Biden's personal staff, although he has not spoken with the campaign team.

It was reported that other prominent Democrats, such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, received phone calls from Biden, indicating a level of engagement with key party figures.
