It was a dream start for new Celtic signing Reo Hatate as he made his debut.
The J-League addition shone at Parkhead against Hibs as compatriot Daizen Maeda netted the opening goal.
Josip Juranovic scored the second from the penalty spot in a comfortable return to Premiership action for Ange Postecoglou 's side.
Hatate's performance earned him the man of the match before being replaced by Mikey Johnston in the second half.
As he watched his Celtic teammates stroll to victory against Shaun Maloney's side he was announced over the tannoy as receiving the award.
But versatile Hatate couldn't quite believe it as James Forrest explained that he had picked up the gong.
As the winger explained that he had been named as the best player on the park, Hatate was picked up by the camera asking "me?" repeatedly.
Forrest laughed and said "you" as Hatate shook his head and smiled in a humble reaction from the new recruit.
