It is 10 years since Katie Taylor captured gold in London in a seismic moment in Irish Sport.
Taylor faced off against Russia's Sofya Ochigava in the final in London 10 years ago in a memorable day.
Thousands of Irish flocked to the Copper Box Arena in London in August 2012 while many more flocked to Taylor's home town of Bray.
And in what was an enthralling fight, Taylor came from behind to win in London to earn Ireland's first gold medal since 1996 in Atlanta.
The win sparked crazy scenes at home as the thousands of supporters in Bray celebrated.
And Taylor was given a hero welcome when she returned as paraded on an open air bus.
It was a remarkable 2012 for Ireland in boxing as Paddy Barnes, Michael Conlan and John Joe Nevin all secured medals in London.
Taylor won her medal on 9 August 2012, some nine years later Kellie Harrington won her gold medal on 8 August 2021.
