Relegation release clauses revealed as Wilfried Gnonto named among Everton targets

Everton have reportedly shown interest in Willy Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville and Tyler Adams as Leeds United brace themselves for an exodus at Elland Road following their relegation.

The Blues are in the hunt for reinforcements as Sean Dyche looks to strengthen his side ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. In west Yorkshire, the Whites are planning for life without some of their stars after they suffered disappointment on the final day of the season that spelt the end of their stint in the top-flight.

According to the Mail Online, Everton are interested in the Leeds attacking duo, Gnonto and Summerville, as well as USA international Tyler Adams. However, the pursuit of the former RB Leipzig midfielder isn't as straight forward after courting interest from some of the Blues' rivals - including Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and West Ham.

It's added that Leeds could also lose Brenden Aaronson on loan due to a stipulation in his contract following relegation to the second tier.

With the final days of June ahead, the ECHO reported this week that there is belief that this will be a difficult period for finances on Merseyside. Money is tight and a big sale may be necessary to line the coffers for additions.

Anthony Gordon departed the Blues in January as he signed for Newcastle United for £45m. This summer is likely to face a similar situation as Amadou Onana faces an uncertain future at Goodison Park with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are linked.

Mason Holgate will be allowed to leave Everton this summer with Sheffield United named as the front-runners for the 26-year-old. The defender has been given the green light to depart on a temporary deal with two years remaining on his deal.

Jordan Pickford is also facing speculation, despite claims that he is happy between the sticks in L4. The Red Devils are plotting for life without David de Gea as his time looks up at Old Trafford and the England number one has been reported to be on their list of candidates.

The future of Demarai Gray has been subject to speculation in recent days. On Sunday, it was reported that three Premier League teams were targeting the forward while figures from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal were flying to England to hold talks over the Jamaican international.

With budget targets on the agenda at Goodison Park, Elland Road might be an avenue for their incoming following their relegation. As well as Summerville, Adams and Gnonto, Jack Harrison and Rodrigo have been uttered as targets for the Blues by differing outlets.
