New customers, an expanded fleet and price increases have helped hire firm Redde Northgate boost revenue and profits.
The Darlington-based plc, which specialises in light commercial vehicles, saw underlying revenue increase 20% to £627.6m in the half year to the end of October and underlying pre-tax profits was boosted to £83.7m. Redde hailed the performance of its accident management business and the expansion of its fleet to more than 130,000 vehicles.
Investors were also told the group's Spanish operation delivered growth and the recent acquisition of traffic management outfit Blakedale was part of its strategic goals. Redde has also launched a new rental solution combining electric vehicle and charging point.
