Reckless Edinburgh off-road biker filmed pulling one-handed wheelie on main road

An Edinburgh off-road biker has been filmed performing dangerous stunts one-handed while riding on a main road.

The video, uploaded to TikTok, shows the biker, wearing black and riding an orange dirt bike, pulling wheelies on a busy road outside the city centre while overtaking a vehicle that appears to be recording the video.

Although the road they're using is unknown, cars are seen in the video coming towards the rider as he performs various stunts and overtakes.

It's not the first time a similar trend has been uploaded to social media. Regular videos of youths pulling dangerous stunts in and around the city have been seen in recent months, as Edinburgh residents grow increasingly worried about the potential knock-on effects of their actions.

The short 20-second video begins with the off-road rider being filmed in front of another car, before speeding past it with one hand on the handle bars and only one wheel on the road.

The car then pulls out onto the other side of the road to record more footage in a potentially dangerous situation.

In previous videos, BMX riders were using stationary cars and even buses in the city centre as an obstacle in a new 'trend' that involved them getting as close as they could before swerving out of the way at the last second.

One video even captured several youths swerving a Lothian Bus on Princes Street next to the tram line.
