Rebel Wilson has admitted that her deep desires to become a mother spurred on her staggering six-stone weight loss.
The Hollywood actress, 42, made the decision to completely overhaul her lifestyle at the beginning of 2020 as she finally ditched bad eating habits and stuck to a gruelling exercise regime.
And now, for the first time ever, the Pitch Perfect star has revealed that she was spurred on to lose weight after a harsh comment from a fertility doctor.
Rebel has revealed that she was able to shed a whopping six-stone due to her desires to welcome a child.
After she paid a visit to her fertility doctor in 2019, the actress was left disappointed when he said that she would have a much better chance of harvesting and freezing her eggs if she lost weight.
Lifting the lid on the life-changing doctors visit, Rebel told PEOPLE: "He looked me up and down and said, 'You'd do much better if you were healthier.
"I was taken aback. I thought, 'Oh God, this's guy's so rude.' He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier," she added.
Rebel has since gone on to drop a staggering six stone after sticking to her 'year of health'.
"It wasn't a goal to get to a certain weight. It was just being the healthiest version of myself," she told PEOPLE.
The actress recently opened up about how she managed to drop the weight.
Rebel revealed that strictly following a high-protein diet did the trick for her.
And the star has noted that since losing weight, people have started to treat her much more positively.
Speaking on The Morning Crew earlier this year, she said: "I think what's been really interesting to me is how other people treat you.
"Sometimes being bigger, people didn't necessarily look twice at you. And now that I'm in a good shape, like, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you.
"I was like, 'Is this what other people experienced all the time?"
