Rebekah Vardy's luxury horse stables application put on hold over concerns

Wagatha Christie combatant Rebekah Vardy is in the wars again... over muckraking.

The TV star wife of footballer Jamie Vardy wants to build luxury stables at their Grade II listed home. But planners aren’t happy and have raised concerns over how Becky – who had a long court fight with fellow WAG Coleen Rooney – will get rid of the horse manure.

A planning application is now on hold while the matter is resolved.

Rebekah, 40, and Leicester City striker Jamie, 35, live in a quaint village in Lincolnshire.

They paid for £2.5million for their home in 2016 and have extended it, leading to a few village grumbles.

It boasts an indoor pool, sauna, gym and has 12 bedrooms – handy, given the couple have six kids between them.

But the stables plan hit a hurdle when South Kesteven District Council’s environmental protection team told the couple they must “make provision for storage and removal of horse manure from equestrian activities”.

It means they must go back to the authority with fresh plans for getting rid of the muck. Rebekah, is a keen rider and often posts pictures on social media of her with her mounts.

The manure snag caps a messy couple of years for Rebekah, star of I’m A Celebrity, Dancing on Ice and Loose Women.

She broke down in tears during a court showdown after suing Coleen for libel. The row erupted when Coleen, 36, claimed Rebekah’s Instagram account had leaked stories about her and ex-England soccer star husband Wayne, 36.

The saga was quickly dubbed Wagatha Christie – though Rebekah denies sending the messages. A High Court judge is set to announce a verdict soon.

Days ago, Rebekah and her kids were on holiday in Portugal as wildfires raged nearby. Jamie is back home training for next month’s Premier League kick-off.
