Rebecca Loos says ‘the truth always comes out’ as she throws support behind Brooklyn Beckham amid family feud

Rebecca Loos has weighed in on Brooklyn Beckham’s extraordinary public attack on his parents, after he accused Victoria and David Beckham of controlling his life and placing “Brand Beckham” above family.

The 48-year-old, who shot to notoriety in 2004 after claiming she had an affair with David while working as his personal assistant, responded to online comments directing her to Brooklyn’s explosive Instagram statement.

Replying to one follower who suggested she might feel “a source of extra validation” after reading his words, Loos wrote: “So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!”

She added in a separate comment: “The truth always comes out, “ followed by a red heart emoji and echoing Brooklyn’s own phrase from the post.

David Beckham has always denied Loos’ allegations, which he addressed in his 2023 Netflix documentary. Loos later criticised the series, claiming it presented “an image of perfection that was nothing like reality”.

Her comments came hours after Brooklyn, 26, shared a six-page statement in which he said he had no desire to reconcile with his family and was standing up for himself “for the first time in my life”.

Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 31, have been at the centre of a growing rift with the Beckham family, having reportedly skipped several key family events, including David’s 50th birthday celebrations and his knighthood.

In his statement, Brooklyn claimed tensions began around his April 2022 wedding, alleging that his parents had “endlessly tried” to undermine his relationship. He said his mother cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress at the “eleventh hour” and accused Victoria of hijacking the couple’s first dance, leaving him “embarrassed”.

He also levelled criticism at his father, claiming that while he travelled to the UK for David’s birthday, repeated requests to meet beforehand were ignored and that he was eventually offered a meeting on the condition Nicola was not invited.

Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling press narratives and prioritising image and endorsements over genuine relationships, saying: “Brand Beckham comes first.”

He added that since stepping away from his family, his longstanding anxiety has disappeared, and that he and Nicola now want “peace, privacy and happiness” away from public manipulation.

The Standard has contacted a representative for the Beckhams for comment.
