Reality TV star Jasmine Ellis Cooper from 'Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard' surprised fans by keeping her pregnancy a secret during the filming of Season 2 of the Bravo reality series last summer. She recently revealed that she concealed her pregnancy due to ongoing conflicts with her castmates. Jasmine, who welcomed her son Silas Jr. in February with her husband Silas Cooper, explained that she wanted to address the friendship issues first before sharing her big news.
Despite the usual rosé flowing during the show, Jasmine opted for mocktails, which raised suspicions among her co-stars. Her close friend Bria Fleming eventually guessed that Jasmine was pregnant, although she was not informed beforehand. The revelation of Jasmine's pregnancy to the entire group happened during production.
While Jasmine and Bria maintained a strong bond between Seasons 1 and 2, Jasmine's relationship with another cast member, Jordan Emanuel, deteriorated. Emanuel mentioned that certain discussions over the past year did not resonate well, leading to a strained friendship. However, they managed to reconnect more easily during the current season of 'SHMV' without Silas present.
Despite the challenges, Emanuel and Jasmine are currently in a good place, attending events together like Jasmine's baby shower. However, Emanuel questions whether their friendship can fully recover.
Additionally, Jasmine felt excluded from group gatherings over the past year, including a trip to Jamaica in 2023. Preston Mitchum clarified that the exclusion was not intentional, suggesting that Jasmine may have needed a break from the group following the drama of Season 1.
The new season of 'Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard' is set to premiere on Bravo this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, promising more drama and revelations from the cast.
