Real Madrid go into this evening’s derby clash against Atletico Madrid full of confidence after their midweek efforts.
As has so often been the case over the last decade, Real rose to the occasion in the Champions League and beat Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield, pretty much wrapping up the tie at the halfway stage of the last-16 clash. It’s a less comfortable picture in LaLiga though, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side eight points behind leaders Barcelona.
