Chelsea's search for a new head coach continues to ramp up as the Blues look for the next person to head up the next phase of the club's project. A number of names have been in the frame, but at this stage, Mauricio Pochettino appears the favourite to be appointed.
Sources have told football.london that there is still nothing to report regarding an imminent agreement between the Blues and Pochettino - despite a number of positive talks between the two parties. football.london also understands that whilst no agreement has been reached yet, there is confidence that a deal can be struck between both parties.
Interim boss Frank Lampard was asked for an update on the process, but gave little away, telling the media: "No, nothing." That leaves things in the air as the final few matches of the season rapidly approaching, with the coming transfer window and a fresh season now on the horizon.

While the hierarchy will be keen to go through a thorough process and hire the right manager, there may be a need to push ahead with Pochettino sooner rather than later. That's because, according to the Independent, Real Madrid view the former Tottenham boss as an option to replace Carlo Ancelotti.
The move would see Los Blancos repeat a trick they used in being able to beat other sides to landing Jude Bellingham, after reports claimed that the midfielder is set to join the Spanish giants. The side managed to make an early move to convince the youngster of the project before many others, despite the fierce competition.
It remains to be seen whether they can do the same, while the Chelsea process continues, leading to uncertainty over the potential future of Pochettino.
