Girona coach Michel expressed a mix of resignation and acknowledgment when asked about Real Madrid's recent signing of Kylian Mbappé, acknowledging the significant boost the forward will bring to the already formidable Madrid squad. Despite Girona's impressive performance in the previous season, finishing third in LaLiga, Michel recognizes the challenge posed by a strengthened Madrid team.
Real Madrid's dominance in the previous season, clinching a LaLiga and Champions League double, was achieved despite notable absences due to injuries and gaps in their squad. The addition of Mbappé on a free transfer has further bolstered their attacking prowess, as evidenced by his debut goal in the UEFA Super Cup.
