The Arizona Cardinals are bringing back running back James Conner. The team announced it agreed to terms with the running back on a three-year contract.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is for $21 million and worth up to $25.5 million. $13.5 million is fully guaranteed.
Conner sign with the Cardinals last season on a one-year deal worth $1.75 million. He led the team in rushing with 752 rushing yards and had 15 rushing touchdowns. He also added 37 receptions for 375 yards and three more scores. He was second in the NFL with 18 total touchdowns.
With Chase Edmonds landing a contract with the Miami Dolphins, Conner presumably will be the Cardinals’ No. 1 back like Kenyan Drake was two seasons ago.
