Ravi Shastri backs Shubman Gill for last two Australia Tests, not in favour of a vice-captain for India in home series

Ravi Shastri is backing Shubman Gill to partner skipper Rohit Sharma as opener in place of KL Rahul in the last two Tests of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, which the hosts lead 2-0.

"The team management knows his (Rahul's) form; they know his mental state. They know how they should be watching someone like Gill," said the former India coach talking on the ICC Review podcast.
