The Baltimore Ravens currently hold the No. 14 selection in the 2022 NFL draft. It is one of the higher picks that the organization has held in the first round over the course of their franchise history, and there are unlimited possibilities as to what they could do with it come draft night.
One of those scenarios is using the 14th selection to stop the fall of a star prospect. In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has Baltimore selecting one of the top players in this year’s draft class in University of Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. Wilson notes that Thibodeaux is a game-changing talent who would fill a position of need for the Ravens.
“Thibodeaux has game-changing talents and, frankly, it would be shocking to see him still on the board here. He’d fill a big need for the Ravens, who, after losing Matt Judon to the Patriots, weren’t able to get after the QB last season like we’re used to seeing. Thibodeaux would change that.”
Thibodeaux was extremely dominant during his time with the Ducks, totaling 126 total tackles, including 35.5 tackles for loss and 19 sacks. He is a former No. 1 recruit on the ESPN 100, and is a very good athlete that excels in both the run and the pass game. If Thibodeaux somehow falls to No. 14, it’s be a no-brainer pick for Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta and company.
