The Baltimore Ravens had to grind their way to a 31-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8 in a way that not many expected them to have to. While Baltimore didn’t end up playing their best football, they got the job done and added another win to their already impressive record, moving them to 6-2.
The Ravens’ offense struggled to find consistency over the course of the contest, and Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson shared his thoughts on the game flow of the offense throughout. He said that the decision to running the ball more later in the game was that of offensive coordinator Todd Monken, but he said he thought the team should have been running it earlier in the game as well.
“I believe that was Coach’s decision, Coach ‘Monk’ [Todd Monken]. But I believe we went away from the run. We were passing the ball a lot earlier in the game, and I believe we should have been running a little bit [to] just balance out our offense out because last week when we were balancing our offense, we showed strides of being great all across the board.”
