Ravens QB Lamar Jackson expects to play in Baltimore for remainder of NFL career

The Baltimore Ravens have watched quarterback Lamar Jackson blossom into a superstar right before their eyes. After being the No. 32 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Jackson has transformed not only his game but his body as he has ascended into one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

On Thursday following the final day of mandatory minicamp Jackson spoke to the media for the first time in a while, and was asked many different questions, with many revolving around his contract situation. He was asked if he expects to play in Baltimore for the rest of his career, to which he responded with a short but impactful answer

“I expect so. Yes, I do.”

There have been multiple public instances of Jackson and the Ravens organization expressing interest in a long-term partnership, but to hear that the quarterback expects to remain with the team is refreshing. It’s still unclear when Jackson will secure a long-term deal, but whenever it comes he will have earned every penny.
