The Baltimore Ravens drafted inside linebacker Trenton Simpson in the third round of the 2023 NFL feast. He didn’t play much during his rookie season, but he will be needed to step into a massive role this year.
Simpson was asked about the areas where he’s grown the most entering the 2024 season. He talked about how he now knows what to expect and is also communicating better.
“I’d say I’ve grown the most by just knowing what to expect – just being in our system for a year now – knowing what to expect. [I’m] communicating better. With this defense, everybody is on the same page, we’re very vocal, and everybody is talking every play, so I think that’s a sign of a great defense. So, [I’ve] definitely [grown] communication-wise.”
Fellow inside linebacker Patrick Queen departed for the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2024 offseason. Simpson will be tasked with filling his shoes, playing next to Roquan Smith, and establishing his dominance early.
