The Baltimore Ravens have accumulated plenty of quality defensive line depth over the past few seasons, with the position now being one of the strengths of the roster. They have a nice blend of veteran contributors as well as young talent, and a player with plenty of potential in the group is third-year player Broderick Washington.
Washington spoke to the media, and was asked about the defensive line group as a whole. He shared his high expectations for the unit, saying that he thinks the group can be the best defensive line in the league.

“I think we can be the best defensive line in the league, honestly. Last year, we were No. 1 [against] stopping the run. I think pass rushing, as a whole – as a whole group – everybody has gotten way better than last year, and it’s really starting to come together for us.”
If Baltimore’s defensive line can generate havoc in the backfield on a consistent basis, then the defense as a whole will be able to feed off of it. The Ravens have struggled to generate pressure from the interior over the past few years in particular, so if they can add that to their resumé alongside solid run-stuffing ability, the group has all of the potential in the world, especially with players such as Calais Campbell, Michael Pierce, Justin Madubuike and more alongside Washington.
