NAGPUR: Raunak Sadhwani's love for Abu Dhabi is no secret. City's first Grandmaster (GM) was back with a bang at his favourite tournament as he ruled in the blitz event of the 28th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival on Monday.
Having scored some of the title norms during his earlier appearances in Abu Dhabi, Raunak, in his first outing after winning the maiden Olympiad medal in Chennai, came up with a superlative show in the fastest format of chess. In the 11-round blitz event, the 16-year-old remained unbeaten to clinch the title with 10 points after winning nine rounds and signing the peace treaty in two games.
