Liverpool’s pre-season friendly against RB Salzburg ended in defeat this evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s experimental starting line-up clearly had one eye on the Community Shield showdown against Manchester City on Saturday, with plenty of big names on the bench.
While Darwin Nunez looked bright and hit the bar in the first-half, the Reds found themselves 1-0 down at the break after a well-taken goal from Benjamin Sesko.
In the second-half, a raft of substitutions took place as Klopp rotated his charges to get another good look at everyone. But there were no further goals.
