Rasheed Wallace takes blame for Draymond Green’s enforcer mindset

Draymond Green has found himself in the headlines over the past 12 months. Part of the outspoken veteran’s value is his willingness to play the agitator and enforcer roles. The Golden State Warriors have been incredibly successful with Green on their roster, but as he enters the final stages of his career, his antics have begun to grate on sections of the fan base.

Speaking on a recent episode of the “Gil’s Arena” podcast, former Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace shared his thoughts on Green’s latest brush with the NBA. Wallace noted how Green grew up in the Pistons’ locker room during the early 2000s and their abrasive style rubbed off on him.

Outside of his outspoken personality, Green is one of the greatest defensive players of his generation, if not all time. He thinks the game at an elite level and provides a connectivity within the rotation that is seldom seen, regardless of the level you’re watching.

[GilsArenaShow] Rasheed Wallace: “That’s our fault… [Draymond Green] grew up in [the 2004 Pistons] locker room. One of his bestfriends was the son of the GM, so he was around us… That’s why he doing the bully sh*t he doing now.”
