Little Mix fans got a rare glimpse of Leigh-Anne Pinnock ’s older sister tonight as her mum turned to the First Dates Hotel in a bid to find love.
The Little Mix star's mum featured in the Tuesday night episode of the hit Channel 4 show as she looked to find love, encouraged to do so by the Sweet Melody singer and her siblings. Debbie was keen to find a man to be her knight in shining armour.
Ahead of her date, a nervous Debbie video-called her daughters for support. She told them she was excited to “meet the man of her dreams”.
Leigh-Anne is the baby of the family and has admitted she regularly looks to her two older sisters, Sairah and Sian-Louise for advice. But it was their mum's turn as she chatted to her girls ahead of the date.
Debbie said it was “about time” she met someone and revealed she had a “good feeling” ahead of her blind date. Her daughter agreed she had the same inkling. “I just have a feeling this might be it,” Debbie told her children.
Ahead of her date, she told the cameras: “I’m really lucky that I’ve got three lovely daughters, four amazing grandchildren and they do keep me busy. I love my job which also keeps me busy but there’s one thing missing. I go home on a Friday night and I’m on my own.
Debbie has been encouraged to find love by her three daughters, who are all desperate for her to get the happy ending she so desires. As a mum of three, and a grandmother of four, Debbie wanted to find her forever relationship.
She explained before the date that family is important to her and she wants someone who equally feels the same.
History teacher Debbie met hunky single dad Rob for the first time as the pair hit it off in the idyllic settings of romantic and picturesque Italy.
She was partnered up with the Stationery Sales Manager seemed to tick all the boxes when it same to who she wants to end up with.
The pair spent their date talking non-stop and gazing into each other’s eyes. He didn’t even seem too phased when she revealed that she has a very famous person in her family and that her youngest daughter is Leigh-Anne from Little Mix.
On the date, Rob asked Debbie how old her daughters are, to which she replied: "32, 30 and 27. My youngest one, she's a singer in a girl band. She's doing really well for herself. Well, she's only as famous as you know who she is as such - she's in Little Mix."
He replied: "Hold on, I'm an old boy yes, but I know Little Mix. Wow!"
Fans were left swooning over the couple as it was revealed they had continued dating when they returned to the UK. Viewer took to Twitter to brand them “utterly perfect” for each other, and “a match made in heaven”.
Leigh-Anne has previously spoken of how close she is with her family, particularly her mother Debbie. In fact, she sobbed when she explained how her mother wasn't able to join her at the premiere for her debut film Boxing Day.
"Can I just say, my mum's watching and I know she can't come to the premiere," she said before breaking down in tears and being consoled by her co-star, as she added: "But I love you so much and there'll hopefully be so many more premieres to go to."
Leigh-Anne is now a mother herself, having recently welcomed twins with her fiancé Andre Gray.
