An autopsy was conducted on Friday for rapper Rich Homie Quan, following his untimely death at the age of 33 in an Atlanta hospital. The rapper, known by his legal name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene during the mid-2010s.

According to officials from Georgia's Fulton County medical examiner's office, the examination has been completed, but the cause of death will not be disclosed until additional tests are finalized. The medical examiner stated that the determination of the cause and manner of death is awaiting the results of laboratory studies and microscopic examination of tissue slides.

While the exact timeline for the completion of these tests remains uncertain, the process could potentially extend over several months. This delay underscores the meticulous nature of forensic investigations aimed at providing accurate and comprehensive insights into the circumstances surrounding Quan's passing.

Rich Homie Quan rose to prominence through his hit singles 'Type of Way' and 'Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),' which propelled him to mainstream success within the music industry. His contributions to the genre have left a lasting impact on fans and fellow artists alike, making his sudden death all the more poignant for the hip-hop community.
