Raphinha makes Liverpool transfer 'decision' as Bayern Munich prepare fresh Sadio Mane bid

The summer transfer window may not be open just yet but the rumours and links are in full swing as Liverpool prepare to get their summer business under way.

The Reds have already confirmed a deal for Fabio Carvalho and are now closing in on the signature of Calvin Ramsay. And they may yet to have to sign another forward, with Darwin Nunez someone the club is looking at, given that Sadio Mane is wanted by Bayern Munich.

And there is an update on the future of Mane in our latest round-up of Liverpool transfer news and gossip from around the globe.

Raphinha has reportedly 'turned down' an approach from Liverpool in favour of a move to Barcelona.

The Reds' interest in the winger is well documented, although rumours began to slow down after Luis Diaz was signed in January. However, with Raphinha likely to leave Leeds United this summer, links have resurfaced in recent weeks.

And a report from outlet SPORT claims, while Liverpool have more financial power than Barcelona at present, it is the player's desire to join the Catalan giants ahead of the new season. The report also suggests Takumi Minamino could have been involved in any potential deal that would have seen the Brazilian move to Anfield.

What?

Liverpool have already rejected Bayern Munich's opening bid for their Senegalese star as they deem £25million unreasonable for a player of his calibre. However, the Bundesliga champions are reportedly ready to make a fresh approach.

Sport1 claim an agreement is expected to be reached soon as Bayern plan to make an approved offer closer to the Reds' valuation. They are said to be in discussions ahead of submitting a proposal that includes a fixed fee of €35million (£29million) with a further €5million in possible bonuses.

However, the ECHO understands Liverpool won't listen to any offers below £40million, despite Mane's contract situation. The 30-year-old is about to enter the final 12 months of his deal at Anfield.

Ousmane Dembele

MARCA

What?

Rumoured Liverpool target Ousmane Dembele appears to be no closer to extending his stay at Barcelona, if reports in Spain are anything to go by.

MARCA claim neither party considers negotiations to be 'broken off', but an agreement at this stage seems unlikely. The 25-year-old winger is out of contract this summer and will be available on a free transfer if a new deal isn't signed. The report adds Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, as well as Liverpool, are among the clubs keen on signing him.

Barcelona have already reportedly sounded out Dembele's replacement in Raphinha.
