LeedsLive readers have voted Raphinha their player of the season. The forward collected 58.6% of the votes, comfortably beating the remainder of his Whites teammates following a particularly excellent first half of the campaign.
In the main, it was a season of struggle for Leeds and without Raphinha’s goals in the opening months, they may have found it even more difficult to claw their way to safety. He netted 11 goals over the course of the campaign, with eight of those arriving before Christmas. The 25-year-old also registered three assists.
Even more crucially, Raphinha was one of very few key players in the Leeds squad who were able to avoid injury. He missed just three games all season, two of which were due to a short international break turnaround, the other after testing positive for Covid-19.
