Baltimore is just one week away from debuting a new scheme under first-year offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
The Ravens will use more 11 personnel (three WRs), and could be lethal if Zay Flowers can hit the ground running alongside Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, and Nelson Agholor.
Buy Ravens TicketsBaltimore has two dynamic tight ends and four talented and versatile running backs.
With preparation for the season opener vs. Houston set to begin, we’re ranking the Ravens position groups after roster cuts.
Wide receiver
Depth: Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, Nelson Agholor, Tylan Wallace
Position notes: Odell Beckham can still be elite, while Flowers was dynamic and explosive during his rookie debut. If Bateman can stay healthy and Agholar can find a role, this group could get quarterback Lamar Jackson a 4,000-yard season.
QB
Depth: Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley
Position notes: Jackson looks focused and locked in on proving all of the doubters wrong, and he has a handful of talented toys at multiple positions to help enhance his MVP quest.
Tyler Huntley is solid when healthy, and Josh Johnson was dynamite during ttraiing camp.
RB
Depth: J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell, Patrick Ricard
Position notes: There is no true standout at the position, but they’ve been one of the best rushing teams in the league over the last few years, and averaged the second-most rushing yards per game of any team last season with 160 yards per contest.
This position group has J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards both coming off injury-plagued seasons and quarterback Lamar Jackson accounts for a huge chunk of the team’s rushing production.
All four running backs can catch the football out of the backfield, while Patrick Ricard adds versatility to the group.
TE
Depth: Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, Charlie Kolar
Position notes: Andrews is a top five tight end, while Likely offers versatility and prowess in the redzone.
Kolar is solid, and you can add Ricard to this group.
OL
Depth: Ronnie Stanley, John Simpson, Tyler Linderbaum, Kevin Zeitler, Morgan Moses, Patrick Mekari, Daniel Faalele, Ben Cleveland, Sala Aumavae-Laulu
Position notes: The group is solid with Stanley, 2022 All-Rookie center Tyler Linderbaum, and two of the NFL’s most consistent linemen in right guard Kevin Zeitler and right tackle Morgan Moses.
John Simpson won the left guard spot and this group is the only thing stopping Baltimore from having a Super Bowl worthy offense.
