Alfredo Morelos was snapped in the gym just hours after being banished from Rangers' travelling squad to face PSV.
The Light Blues are in the Netherlands as they get set for a crunch 90 minute showdown with the Dutch giants in the Champions League play-off second leg. The winner will advance to the group stages and land the lucrative pay day that comes with reaching Europe's premier competition.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst made the big decision to leave the Colombian hitman at home with concerns over Morelos' fitness and attitude and he doesn't believe he's ready to take part against Ruud van Nistelrooy's men. But he appears to be taking the message on board from his boss as he was snapped working out as he bids to return to full fitness and his best form.
The Colombian was sent off at the weekend, just 13 minutes after coming on the park against Hibs at Easter Road, as the Ibrox men dropped their first points of the new Premiership season. John Lundstram had earlier been handed his marching orders from whistler Willie Collum. The club appealed the decision for 'wrongful dismissal' and have since won their case.
Morelos is out of contract at Rangers next summer, with talks reported to be on hold for now.
Speaking about the striker yesterday, Van Bronckhorst said: "We have a lot of important games at the moment, it is for me as the manager to bring the players I think are ready to play.

"As a person, it was a hard decision but as a manager an easier one, we are here to represent our club and reach the Champions League.
"To play for Rangers you have to have a certain level mentally, physically. At the moment I don't think he is."
