Rangers are huge odds to spring a Champions League shock at Anfield with Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side practically written off as no-hopers against Liverpool.
The Light Blues are as big as 19/1 to win against the Merseyside giants and last season's runners-up in the competition despite a shaky start to the season by Jurgen Klopp's Reds. The price is the second biggest of all the fixtures on matchday three of the competition with only Czech side Viktoria Plzen lengthier odds for their match away to Bayern Munich.
Celtic's group rivals Shakhtar Donetsk are marginally shorter than Gers to get a win against Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu while the Hoops themselves are only 5/1 to win in Germany against RB Leipzig.
A William Hill spokesman said, "Anfield on a European night is one of the most challenging places for an opposition team to visit. Liverpool's form may be erratic at the moment, but punters still seem to think that Rangers will not be able to penetrate fortress Anfield.
"However, we are starting to see some interest in the Gers' over the weekend after Liverpool's poor performance against Brighton, and we wouldn't be surprised if the 18/1 odds were a bit shorter before kick-off."
Van Bronckhorst will be hoping to defy those huge odds and while no team has won at Anfield yet this season, they have been held at home by both Crystal Palace and Brentford and needed an injury time goal to beat Newcastle United.
