Rangers set to win transfer race for Connor Barron despite England and Italy interest

Rangers are set to win the transfer battle to sign Connor Barron.

The Ibrox club are thought to have batted away interest from England and Italy to sign the midfielder from Aberdeen.

Barron, 21, was free to leave Aberdeen after his contract expired and there was major interest in his services as he bid farewell to Pittodrie.

But the Rangers Review report that Barron is set to check in at Rangers to become Philippe Clement's fourth signing of the summer.

Jefte, Oscar Corters and Clinton Nsiala have already joined Rangers this summer with Liam Kelly also expected to join the club as part of the major off-season rebuild.

Rangers are also in the market to sign Bayern Munich forward Yusuf Kadabyi with discussions ongoing.
