Greek giants Olympiacos are set to travel to Glasgow to face Rangers in a pre-season friendly.
The Ibrox side have already announced warm-up clashes with Newcastle, Hamburg and Germany as they gear up for an attempt to wrestle the title off Celtic. Newcastle travel north on July 18 for Allan McGregor's testimonial before a box-office Ibrox friendly with Hamburg precedes a trip to Germany to face Hoffenheim on July 29. But Michael Beale's team are then set to return home with Olympiacos seemingly pencilled in for early August.
Reports in Greece have indicated that Rangers have invited Athens side Olympiacos to play at Ibrox for a friendly at the end of July, ahead of the season's big kick off on August 5. Olympiacos - managed by former Espanyol and Osasuna boss Diego Martínez - finished third in the Greek Super League this season, five points behind winners Panathinaikos. They haven't played in Scotland since defeating Celtic 3-1 on aggregate in the first round of the 1974 European Cup.
