ALEX LOWRY has stepped up his return from injury with the midfielder set to feature for Rangers B later today.
The Light Blues second string side are due to take on Dumbarton in the Scottish Lowland League.
Lowry will feature for the first time since August after he was stretchered off for Rangers B in the first fixture between the sides this season.
The Scotland youth international was on the end of a heavy challenge from Ally Love and was expected to be out for months.
However initial fears were extinguished when a scan revealed that the injury was not as serious as first thought.
Today Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed that Lowry would feature for the Ibrox B outfit.
He said: "Alex is playing today with the B team because it gives him more time and minutes on the pitch but he's close as well to be ready for playing."
The Rangers manager also confirmed that Kemar Roofe is back to full fitness.
He added: "Kemar is in the squad for Dundee tomorrow, he's ready to make minutes and we will try and give him that tomorrow."
