Rangers have fought off stiff English Premier League interest to sign Jack Wyllie and Calum Adamson on professional contracts.
The pair have both agreed to take the step up from the Ibrox academy and will sign two year professional contracts starting this summer. The news is a major boost for Rangers as the duo had major interest south of the border. Arsenal and Tottenham both made approaches to land Wyllie but the Scotland youth centre back has decided to remain with the Light Blues.
Midfielder Adamson was on the wanted lists of Crystal Palace and Newcastle United but has also decided his future is best served with the Glasgow giants. Both have been played up the age groups and academy chief Craig Mulholland was a major catalyst in both boys remaining at Rangers. The recent success the club has had with their graduates like Nathan Patterson also shows there is now a pathway for emerging talent.
