Rangers fans have aimed at message at the Ibrox board ahead of the clash with Motherwell at Fir Park.
Before the game in Lanarkshire fans held up flyers with the face of Rangers managing director Stewart Robertson and sporting director Ross Wilson crossed out were placed on seats and the message 'time for change'. A banner that read 'time for change' was displayed in the away end before kick-off.
The display comes less than a week after fan group the Union Bears vacated their seats at Ibrox in protest against the board during the Scottish Cup clash with Raith Rovers, and is the latest in a running feud between the fans and the club directors. During the Scottish Premiership victory over Kilmarnock a banner was displayed by the group that claimed the board had taken their eye off the ball since the title win back in 2020/21.
As the protests started Boyd admitted the fans were looking for "accountability" with the Scottish Cup the club's main shot at silverware this term. He told Sky Sports: "When Rangers won the league, you felt as if there was an opporuntity to kick on. Celtic were as low as a snake's belly at that point but turned it around so quickly.
"I think when it gets to this stage of the season fans are slightly frustrated and they are having a go at the board. It seems to be growing by the week.
"You look at Stewart Robertson and especially Ross Wilson, you are going to be judged by the recruitment side of it. And it's not been good enough, so there has be some kind of accountability. There are ways you can protest, as long as it's peacefully."
