Rangers fans brawl on city centre road after Europa League final match

A brawl broke out between Rangers fans in the city centre following the Europa League final.

The shocking moment the group of around 12 turned on each other was caught on video.

Video footage shows the disturbance on Jamaica Street spilling out onto the road as fists fly and a girl is dragged by her hair through the street.

The group - wearing Rangers jerseys - begin kicking each other as a number fall to the floor at midnight, reports the Daily Record.

They can be seen grabbing each other before a girl is grabbed by the hair by a number of people in the gang.

She is then dragged across the road by another woman before suffering a number of heavy blows to the head by a different assailant.

The group roll around the road for a brief moment before the pair are pulled apart as one man narrowly misses being hit by a car.

The video was posted on Twitter last night after the Ibrox side lost 5-4 in penalties against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are aware of reports of a disturbance on Jamaica Street near to Argyll Street on Wednesday, May 18.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
