Fuming Red Star Belgrade star Aleksandar Dragovic insists Rangers were lucky to see them off in the Europa League.
Rangers slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat in Serbia despite a battling performance, but the hard part was done at Ibrox with a 3-0 victory.
Allan McGregor was in top form to keep Red Star at bay in front of the Markana cauldron to ensure Rangers were in the hat for the quarter-final draw.
But Dragovic saw the game very differently.
The Austria cap reckons it should be Red Star who are in the hat alongside big hitters like Barcelona, West Ham and RB Leipzig.
He said: "In my opinion, Rangers were lucky to qualify.
"It's sad we didn't make it through because we certainly had the chances to do that. We were unable to take all the opportunities we created.
"I thought our supporters were fantastic and we thank them for being the 12th man.
"We fought to the last second of the game. We were still trying to score the third goal in injury time even though we knew it was over. We did that for the fans.
"I think the players gave everything they could and credit to all the guys. We move on."
