Rangers have announced a friendly with Sunderland as part of a pre-season trip to the Algarve.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will take his team to Portugal in July as part of their summer preparations.
And that will include a meeting with the newly-promoted EFL Championship side.
A Rangers statement said: "As part of the first team’s preparations for season 2022/23, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his squad will travel to the Algarve to take part in a warm weather training camp.
"The week of intense work will conclude with a pre-season fixture against Sunderland AFC, who were recently promoted into the English Championship after winning the play-off final at Wembley Stadium.
"Rangers will play Alex Neil ’s men on July 9 at 8pm at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira.
"We are pleased to announce that an allocation of tickets will be available to Rangers supporters and more details on this will be communicated shortly.
"The Sunderland fixture is the second pre-season match to be confirmed this summer with Gers also set to play Tottenham Hotspur on July 23 at Ibrox.
"Tickets for the Spurs game are set to go on sale to season ticket holders on June 20, followed by a MyGers priority sale on July 11."
