It has been a few years since Jaguar Land Rover made big changes to its lineup. The automaker converted its corporate name to JLR and launched its House of Brands strategy, treating Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender as distinct brands alongside Jaguar.
At the time, JLR said it wanted to become an electric-first brand by 2030, with plans to launch its first battery-powered Land Rover by 2025. Clearly, that didn’t happen. But last month, the automaker announced the Range Rover GT—a battery-electric grand tourer and an entirely new concept for the brand. It should launch very soon.
