When the week began, the Los Angeles Rams opened as 3-point underdogs to the New Orleans Saints. That was before Cooper Kupp was ruled out and before we knew that Matthew Stafford would return from the concussion protocol.
After Kupp was ruled out, the spread jumped to Rams +4, making them even bigger underdogs without their top wide receiver. Then on Wednesday, Sean McVay told reporters that Stafford is expected to clear the concussion protocol and start against the Saints. That caused the spread to dip a little bit to Rams +3.5.
As of Friday, the Rams are 3-point underdogs (again), per Tipico Sportsbook. Stafford is still in line to start and the Saints are dealing with plenty of injury concerns of their own. Marcus Davenport, Cameron Jordan, Andrus Peat and Marshon Lattimore all missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday and appear uncertain to play against the Rams.
The over/under is currently at 39 points, too, which is where it opened on Monday.
