Rams release first depth chart of regular season

It’s officially game week for the Los Angeles Rams as they prepare to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football to kick off their 2024 campaign. With that comes the first unofficial depth chart of the regular season.

This differs from the last depth chart we saw from Los Angeles during the preseason when there were still 90 players on the roster, and it gives us a better idea of who is viewed as a starter and who’s a backup. It’s unofficial and it isn’t released by the coaching staff itself, but it’s still interesting to look at and dissect.

There are no huge surprises on this initial depth chart, though it is worth noting that Jonah Jackson is listed at center and Steve Avila is back at left guard. It’s a move Sean McVay indicated would likely be the case last week and that appears to be the decision for Week 1.

Tyler Davis is also listed as a backup defensive end after he looked more like a nose tackle, Tre’Davious White and Cobie Durant are apparently co-starters at corner and Blake Corum is the top kick returner to go along with Kyren Williams on punt returns.

When the Rams face the Lions on Sunday, we’ll really find out what the depth chart looks like based on how many snaps each player plays, but for now, we’ll have to assume this depth chart is indicative of where everyone stands.
