Sean McVay didn’t have an update on Jonah Jackson’s status after the Rams’ starting left guard exited practice early Tuesday, but the outlook isn’t great less than a day later. According to Adam Grosbard of the OC Register, Jackson was spotted with his left arm in a sling on Wednesday.
It could just be precautionary, but that’s obviously not a great sign for the Rams’ big free-agent addition. McVay isn’t scheduled to meet with reporters until Thursday, at which point he’ll likely share further details on Jackson’s condition.
The Rams were already without left tackle Alaric Jackson on Tuesday after he tweaked his ankle earlier in the week, so any significant injury to Jonah Jackson at left guard would be a major blow as training camp rolls on.
Just saw Rams left guard Jonah Jackson with his left arm in a sling. Jackson, the Rams' big free agent acquisition of the offseason, left practice with trainers yesterday.

Jackson missed five regular-season games in 2023 and four in 2022, so injuries have been a concern throughout his career. He also missed the Lions’ playoff game against the 49ers in January due to a knee injury.
Update (1:24 p.m. PT): The Rams say Jackson is considered day-to-day with a shoulder injury.
