All eyes are on Matthew Stafford’s thumb this week as the Rams prepare to face the Packers at Lambeau Field. Stafford suffered a UCL sprain in the Rams’ loss on Sunday and while he won’t go on injured reserve, his status for Week 9 is uncertain.
After missing practice on Wednesday, Stafford was once again held out Thursday as he continues to recover from his thumb injury. Sean McVay said Stafford could still play without practicing all week, but obviously they’d like for him to get in some work leading up to the game.
If Stafford can’t play, it’ll be Brett Rypien at quarterback for the Rams.
Rob Havenstein and Ernest Jones each missed practice again on Thursday, as well. Austin Trammell, Ben Skowronek and Ethan Evans were all upgraded to full participants, while Larrell Murchison, Puka Nacua and Cobie Durant remained limited.
Everyone on the Packers participated in some capacity Thursday, including Aaron Jones, who is still limited.
