Rams-Bengals injury report: Van Jefferson, Cam Akers limited to start Super Bowl week

The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals took things easy last week after their conference championship wins, but they’ll turn things up a notch in the next three days as they prepare for Super Bowl LVI.

The Bengals held a full practice and the Rams only had a walk-through, but both teams released their initial injury reports of Super Bowl week Wednesday. On the Rams’ side, nine players were listed. Five of them were full participants, with two limited and two being held out to open the week.

Cam Akers (shoulder) and Van Jefferson (knee) were both limited, though there’s no indication they’re in danger of missing Sunday’s game. Joe Noteboom remains out with a chest injury, and Tyler Higbee missed practice, as expected. Higbee’s status is very much in doubt for the Super Bowl.

The good news is that Jalen Ramsey (shoulder), Andrew Whitworth (quad) and Taylor Rapp (concussion) were all full participants in practice, as were Christian Rozeboom (elbow) and Grant Haley (quad).

The Bengals were missing C.J. Uzomah Wednesday, though Zac Taylor still feels he has enough time to recover from an MCL sprain in order to play on Sunday. He was the only non-participant for Cincinnati.

Jackson Carman was limited, and Stanley Morgan, Cam Sample and Josh Tupou were full participants.
